SARAH J. BARABASH, PHD.
DIRECTOR OF MINING SERVICES
SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST
Dr. Barabash is the Director of Mining Services at EcoMetrix. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Doctorate in Geochemistry, both from the University of Guelph. She leads a team of dedicated professionals who provide
environmental intelligence to clients throughout the mine life cycle. Much of her experience has focused on the management of mine waste, where she and her team have helped clients develop cost saving strategies to achieve corporate environmental and sustainability objectives.
Sarah’s particular expertise is the planning and implementation of waste management programs, geochemical assessment and environmental monitoring studies. Sarah also works extensively with the mining sector on environmental assessment and permitting, as well as in the development and implementation of mine closure plans, remediation and rehabilitation strategies.
